About Mark
I’m originally from Detroit but graduated from Howard so I’ve been in DC for over 20 years. My home office includes my two interns, my 9-year-old son Naseem and a fawn-colored Doberman named Shabazz. I’m a Kappa and Mason, so I love hanging out with friends having discussions about the most random topics.
After I graduated, I served as Principal of a Real Estate Investment Company that owned and managed 24 units, I’ve also had the opportunity to work with Mayor Muriel Bowser as a City Council Member, Mayor Adrian Fenty as a City Liaison, Humanities DC as a Grants Director, The Department of Labor as a National Liaison for the YouthBuild Program and Project Manager for Medici Road and Non-Profit Community Development Company.
As you can see, I’ve bumped around a bit but would love to share the experience I\’ve gained with you. I’m not just another advisor, I personally invest in Multifamily Homes in DC and actively pursue Real Estate Development projects. I’ve served at the highest levels of the Non-Profit, Profit, Local and National Government which can provide a unique perspective.
