This largely rectangular area borders Maryland and is generally outlined northeast by Eastern Ave. NE, southeast by Bladensburg Rd. NE, southwest by South Dakota Ave. NE, and northwest by Michigan Ave. NE. The area began as woodlands and farms, but the subdivision officially took root in the early 20th century. The other commercial avenue is Bladensburg Rd. NE, where DC Brau, a popular local craft brewery, opened.
