The well-developed West End neighborhood is situated in the Northwest quadrant of the District and easily accessible. It’s outlined west and north by Rock Creek Park and P St. NW, east by 22nd St. NW and New Hampshire Ave NW, and south by K St. NW. The Foggy Bottom Metro and Dupont Circle Metro stations are a short distance away. Before the annexation of Georgetown, West End was quite literally named for its location in L’Enfant’s original plan for the city. In 1972, the Office of Planning and Management proposed a plan to rejuvenate this receding part of Washington, which was dominated by Victorian row-houses and warehouses in decline. Post-development, the neighborhood transformed to provide a plethora of high-end condominiums, opulent hotels, and gourmet restaurants.

The luxurious lifestyle afforded by the West End requires significant discretionary income. As a result, the area is home to many well-established professionals and affluent retirees who have the means to extravagantly indulge.
